Over at The Mentoring Project, we are about to launch our all-encompassing donation page. This page will feature a video that essentially invites people to participate in our program by sponsoring a mentor. That’s where you come in. We are inviting people to help us by making a (45 second or under) commercial.
We will then feature your commercial on our site, and will direct our entire e-mail list to see your commercial. And we will be sure to tell people who you are in case you do this sort of thing for a living. But mostly, you’ll be helping out an incredible cause.
Here’s what you need to know about TMP in order to make a commercial:
• The Mentoring Project is recruiting ten-thousand mentors through one-thousand church-based programs.
• It costs $5 per month to sponsor a mentor.
• People can sponsor a mentor online, on the same page where your commercial will be featured.
So, whether you do this sort of thing professionally, or you’re taking a class and need a good project, we’d be blessed to feature your commercial.
You can e-mail your commercial link to: hannah@belmontfoundation.org
We will be able to feature more than one, of course, and I’ll post them on the blog, too. Thanks for joining us!

Good to see the project off and running! I learned of this project through Imago Dei and have since met with Wade to learn more. I just made my donation online! Will be relocating to Portland after the first of the year and look forward to being able to directly assist in your efforts!

Paula, thanks so much for your support. It means a lot. We had a great event last night in which we got to thank many mentors and introduce even more people to the project. It feels good to be fully in motion. Thanks again…
Jeremy,
We will have the donation page up within a few days, and will have many videos we can cycle through. The commercial, though, will go out to our entire database of thousands of people, so we will feature that separate. For that, though, we would need something within a month or so. Thanks…

What a great idea! You guys are really thinking outside the box. Whenever I donate money to a cause, I always investigate whether or not the organization spends the majority of funds on those in need. It seems to me your foundation spends money thoughtfully. I appreciate that. Keep up the good work and God bless.

is the logo available for download any where, it would be nice to be able to include that in the commercial, also if it was available with transparency or an alpha channel (I suddenly feel like I am on a tech blog), any ways it would help.
