Five Reasons to Register for Storyline

Today is the last day to get the pre-registration price for the Storyline Conference.

If you’re needing a bit of clarity in your life, or wanting to jump-start the story you are living, come visit Portland in June with hundreds of other people who will be mapping out their personal storyline at our two-day conference.

How long has it been since you’ve performed a life evaluation? Here are five reasons to attend Storyline:

1. Because you can walk out of the Storyline conference better understanding what you want to do with the rest of your life.

2. Because you’ll come to understand why some roles in life don’t work for you and others seem to work great. You’ll understand the “kind of character” you play in life’s story and be able to shape your story around that role.

3. You’ll have a broad map showing you where you currently are in your story and be able to list the priorities you can focus on now so the story is as impacting as you hope it can be.

4. You’ll meet people from all over the country who are interested in the kind of life you are interested in and are hoping to tell the world a better story with their lives.

5. You’ll get to spend a few days in Portland, one of the best cities in the world. Come on out and join us!

    Hi Don
Would love to be there but can’t make it in June :( Are you planning another conference? Ever thought about hosting one in Scotland and brightening up our stories over here??

  2. shellybell says:

I attended last September, and it was well worth the trip. Portland is a really fun city to spend a long weekend. I would have gone back for more if my brother hadn’t planned the family vaca that week…brothers!

If you are waffling, stop waffling, and go!

  3. Ann says:

Hoping there will be another one held sometime this fall?

    thanks,
    Ann

  4. Mary P. says:

Any chance you’d do a Storyline Conference in New York in the future?

  5. zalaine says:

For those of us who can’t come – how about a web friendly download that we study at home? I imagine many of us would pay for just such an event.

  6. Nicole says:

I love Portland. :) June is out, though…directing a play that is opening that month. But I’ll watch for the next one!

  7. Susan O. says:

    6. Celebrate your birthday with a new look on life!! (hoping to anyway!!)

  8. Lori Ventola says:

    I’m there!

  9. This conference was so worth the flight across the country.

In fact, I think my church is going to be adapting the ideas in it to try to deinstitutionalize ministry. We’re going to use the ideas from the conference to help launch our artists and entrepreneurs and free them from church machinery while still giving them support.

We’re meeting in a week to figure this out.

  10. Ryan says:

My wife and I just registered last night! We’ll be taking a very short 17 hour drive to get to Portland :)

I think it was the “sorting your crap out” comment Don made that tipped the scales…

  11. shellybell says:

    Crap…I married the chiropractor.

No wonder my life stinks like poo! ;)

Yep, I wanted my 2 cents in…so I cheated and backed up one.

I am a school teacher, so April Fool’s Day is miserable! :) So I REALLY needed this.

Needless to say I was busy today with all of the “pranks” and had no time to read your blog till now, and as usual, it cracked me up!

Thank you for a little non-5th grade humor. I was beginning to think I had no sense of humor anymore, but you reminded me it is alive ad well.

  12. Raewyn says:

    Hi Don,
Would love to come but in New Zealand and this is just not possible at the moment…….I also would love to see a conference of this kind ‘down under’ in Australia or New Zealand. Have you thought of an ‘adventure’ down in this part of the world?
I love your books and am attempting to live a ‘better story’ with my life after reading ‘A Million Miles in a Thousand Years,’ by finishing off a 15 year+ journey to train as a psychologist, after working as a teacher.

  13. Haley says:

I totally would have come, but it’s the same week as my finals! Give me a couple more years to get into the adult world and I’d love to check it out!
