Today’s Sunday Morning Music is “Shake It Out”, the first single off Florence + the Machine’s new album, Ceremonials. It’s a big, loud track, and I’ve been listening to it incessantly all week.
When I started reading this blog I did so because I wanted to hear what Don Miller had to say. Since it has become Jordan someone’s thoughts and music choices, it’s time for me to leave.
Lori: While I understand your frustration, why not just leave without saying anything? Or just not click on posts authored by “Jordan”? Seems like those would’ve been more polite options.
As I mentioned in a post a few weeks ago, Don asked me to take over some aspects of the blog in order to give him more time to write books. I haven’t asked for any of this. I’ll talk to him about Sunday Morning Music.
Jordan: Just FYI…I subscribe via RSS, and neither the RSS feed nor the blog post that I clicked through to, as far as I can tell, had your name anywhere on them.
I enjoyed the song, BTW. And I liked the Menomena from last week. I’m guessing you posted that one, too. The post said “Don is off on some super awesome adventure,” so I figured he didn’t write it.
My favorite show, CBS Sunday Morning had a segment on her this morning. It was great!
Great track, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing Jordan. My budget for buying music is limited, so I am very picky about what I purchase. I was not totally sure how I felt about Florence and the Machines. I really liked the sound of this track.
How is the whole album?
It’s very good, though it lacks the pop sensibility of that first track. For limited budgets, have you tried Spotify? It’s free, and you get to stream pretty much any album for free.
Jordan, I don’t agree with Lori. I like what you have to say and look forward to reading your posts.
