Yes, you can take a taxi or rent a car, but as one of the top green cities in the country, Portland makes it easy to navigate with public transportation. We encourage you to use our MAX Light Rail system. From the airport, you can jump on the "Red Line" and be in downtown Portland in about 20 minutes. Tickets are around $2 and all the hotels listed are within 4 blocks of walking distance from a MAX stop. The tickets are also transferable to any bus. As a great bonus, downtown Portland has a ‘Free Zone' for the MAX and Portland Street Car.
